Actress Priyanka Chopra Wins the Nielsen Box Office Award

Looks like the talented Miss Chopra is being recognized for her talent outside of India! Actress, Priyanka Chopra traveled all the way to Hong Kong for an award. The sexy star was attending The Asian Film Awards. This event which was launched in 2007 was a pioneer program that honored filmmakers and actors for their achievements in Asian film. The panel of judges who oversee the awards are made up of expert professionals in cinema and they are usually internationally recognized people.

The Asian Film Awards' goal is to present awards to the best of the best. The annual affair was a star studded, red carpet event that honored the greatest in the Asian Film industry. Priyanka Chopra looked simply dazzling in a white and pink sari. The other winners of the Asian Film Awards ceremony included Zhou Xun for Best Actress, 'Tokyo Sonata' for Best Picture, and Hirokazu Koreeda for Best Director.

According to Eric Mika, Vice President of Nielsen Media and Entertainment Group, "Priyanka Chopra is India's number one female star. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding work...It is truly amazing to acknowledge the breadth of her success, and we are honored to bestow the Nielsen Box Office Award on someone who has done so incredibly much in so little time."

Anil Kapoor to Star on Hit US TV Show '24'

In case you haven't heard yet, big time Bollywood star Anil Kapoor will be guest starring on one of the hottest American TV shows going today! Yes, Anil Kapoor will be alongside movie-turned-television star Kiefer Sutherland on an episode of '24.'

Anil Kapoor's role will be an Indian counter-terrorist cop.That's definitely a major change from his role as the game show host from the popular and Academy Award winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire.' Although this news is being widely rumored and reported, Anil Kapoor has played it cool and low-key, not wanting to divulge further details.

"It's too early to say something," said Kapoor. Negotiations are still going on.So, I can't confirm you anything at this stage. It's my agency in L.A. which is handing all that."

It is not known for how long Anil Kapoor will be on the popular US show. '24' is shown on Fox as well as 'American Idol' where we're currently seeing desi favorite Anoop Desai. Fox is definitely looking to add more desi to your prime time schedule.

"Anil would play Jack Bauer's counterpart in India. It's not known yet whether Anil will appear in just one episode of whether he'll be a recurring character. Either way the producers are very excited about having him onboard," said a source from the production house.

For those that aren't too familiar with '24' it is an American espionage crime thriller featuring Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as a cop who fights domestic and terrorist activities. It is one of the most successful thriller shows in history. Think of it as a new age 'Mission: Impossible.' Anil Kapoor definitely locked up quite the role. Hopefully he's around for more than just one episode.

Celebrities are channeling India for the latest look. Recent hit "Slumdog Millionaire" is inspiring the style blend.Now the Desi infusion has taken to the stores. Showing affordable looks for the spring, the Today Show says, "Slumdog look like a Millionaire." They advise to be on the lookout for various embroideries, gems, and woven items.

Bangles have been a popular accessory for awhile, but the patterns and colors seen on this season's runway are really taking over. It's exotic but accessible and fun, an interaction between East and West fashion, a vivacious cocktail. IPL Out of India for Season 2, England and South Africa Lobbying for Games

The DLF Indian Premier League will be moving all of their dates for this upcoming season outside of India for this second season. England and South Africa have already thrown their hats into the ring as likely destinations for the six week tournament which starts on April 10. In other words, for season two of the Indian Premier League, none of the games will be held in India. Security concerns, mostly the inability to secure enough manpower for the six week tourney is the cause.

This move was not an easy one for Indian Premier League owner Lalit Modi, who tried desperately to reschedule the event to coexist with general elections that are taking place in India during the same time span. When the proposals were rejected, he was left with one of two choices: move the IPL elsewhere or cancel the season.

As expected, Indian TV news outlets were not happy with the news. Narendra Modi, the chief minister of the Indian state of Gujarat and a member of India's main opposition party, said the decision was "a huge loss to the country. This will ruin India's image before the world."

"The government's decision means India is not a safe place for cricket and it cannot guarantee security," he said. "I want to ask the Central Government, if it can't ensure the security of 11 cricketers then how can it protect (1.1 billion) Indians?"

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket South Africa are now battling to win the rights to host the tournament. Weather is not believed to be a factor in the decision, contrary to other reports.

ECB chief executive David Collier confirmed that it was interested.

"We have opened up discussions with the BCCI and the IPL within the last 36 hours and we'll be continuing those discussions in the middle of this week," Collier told the British Press Association. While there has been no confirmation as of yet, England looks to have the early advantage over South Africa in the chase to host the games which generated over $2 billion in revenue and advertising last year.

The good news that comes from this is that the season will kick off as scheduled with no delays or rescheduled events.

"This is disappointing, given the huge anticipation and excitement that exists for the IPL in India, said Mr. Manoj Badale, Chairman of Rajasthan Royals. "However, if the choice is no tournament, or the tournament in another country, then we clearly prefer the latter."

Former 'Big Brother' Star Jade Goody Loses Her Battle with Cancer

Former UK Big Brother star Jade Goody lost her year long tragic battle with cervical cancer Sunday March 22. She was only 27 years old. Jade Goody was most known for her antics on the show 'Big Brother' and the racist remarks she supposedly made about Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. They managed to make up after the show and in a further gesture of apology, Goody made an appearance on the Indian version of the show called 'Big Boss.' Shilpa Shetty managed to travel to England almost a week ago to say one last good-bye to her friend.

The figure remained somewhat controversial up until her death. Jade Goody reportedly sold many pictures and interviews to magazines for money which many thought was in bad taste. According to Shilpa Shetty's ex-publicist Dale Bhagwagar, however, he felt "Her aim was to earn as much money as she could in the short span that she was going to live, even if it meant selling her interviews and pictures to the media. This she did to ensure that her two sons lived a comfortable life. Even Britain’s prime minister, James Gordon Brown, praised her for battling the cancer and caring for her children, even while she was in such a bad state." Although there were many reasons for people to not like Jade Goody, this wasn't one of them as it secured a future for her children.

Upon finding out that Jade Goody had passed, Shilpa Shetty said of her friend "I am deeply saddened by the news, but in hindsight glad that she is out of pain and passed away peacefully in her sleep. Words cannot express how I feel, but my heartfelt condolences to the family."

Jade Goody is survived by her two sons, Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4. Her dying wish was to be baptised and to have her sons christened with her because, she said, “I need to be sure that when I’m gone, my kids have a way of being close to me.”

ஜேட்கூடியின் மரணம் சொல்லும் செய்தி..!

என் இனிய வலைத்தமிழ் மக்களே..!

27 வயதான ஜேட் கூடி என்ற பெண் தனது இறப்பை எதிர்பார்த்து சில மாதங்களாகக் காத்திருந்து, இப்போது கர்த்தரின் காலடியை அடைந்துவிட்டார்.

கடந்த 2 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்புவரையிலும் 'பிக் பிரதர்' என்கிற ரியலிட்டி ஷோவில் கலந்து கொள்ளாத வரையில் அவர் யாரென்று இந்தியர்களுக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்க வாய்ப்பில்லை.

இந்திய திரைப்பட நடிகை ஷில்பா ஷெட்டியுடன் அந்த ரியலிட்டி ஷோவில் பங்கேற்ற ஜேட்கூடி, ஷில்பாவை இனவெறியோடு திட்டியதால் ஷில்பா கண்ணீர் விட்டு அழுக.. அந்த அழுகையால் தாங்களும் அழுத லண்டன் மாநகர மக்கள் மொத்த ஓட்டையும் ஷில்பாவுக்கே குத்தி அவரை பரிசு மழையில் நனைய வைத்து அவரை இந்தியாவுக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தார்கள்.

அப்போது நம்மால் கோபமாகப் பார்க்கப்பட்ட அதே ஜேட்கூடிதான் இப்போது நம்மால் பரிதாபகமாப் பார்க்கப்படுகிறார். 27 வயதுதான்.. 5 வயது மற்றும் 4 வயதான இரண்டு ஆண் குழந்தைகளுக்கு அம்மா.. பிள்ளைகளை வளர்க்க வேண்டிய பொறுப்பு இருக்கிறது. சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டிய கட்டாயமும் இருக்கிறது. இந்த நேரத்தில்தான் புற்று நோய் அவரைத் தாக்கியிருக்கிறது.

இந்தியாவில் கலர்ஸ் என்கிற சேனல் நடத்திய பிக் பாஸ் ரியலிட்டி ஷோவில் கலந்து கொள்ள வந்தவருக்கு மும்பையில் நல்ல முறையில் வரவேற்பு கிடைத்தது. நிச்சயம் இந்திய விஜயம் எனக்கொரு திருப்பத்தைத் தரும் என்று அப்போது சொன்னார். அந்தத் திருப்பம் அவருடைய வாழ்க்கையை முடிக்கிற திருப்பம் என்பதை அவரும், மீடியாக்களும் அறிந்திருக்கவில்லை.


ரியலிட்டி ஷோவுக்காக இந்தியா வருவதற்கு முன்பாகவே அவருக்கு உடல்நலக் குறைவு ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அதனால் லண்டனிலேயே தகுந்த சிகிச்சையும், உடற்பரிசோதனையும் செய்துவிட்டுத்தான் விமானம் ஏறியிருக்கிறார்.

ரியலிட்டி ஷோவில் ஒரு நாள் ஷில்பாவுக்கு வந்த போன் கால் அவருடைய வாழ்க்கையின் முடிவுரையைச் சொன்னது..

அந்தக் காட்சியை நான் அப்போதே தொலைக்காட்சியில் பார்த்து பேச்சு மூச்சில்லாமல் போனேன். லண்டனில் அவர் செய்துவிட்டு வந்த உடற்பரிசோதனையின் முடிவுகளை அந்த மருத்துவர் தொலைபேசியில் ஜேட்கூடியிடம் சொல்கிறார், "உன்னைத் தாக்கியிருப்பது புற்று நோய். நீ இன்னும் கொஞ்ச நாள்தான் உசிரோட இருக்கப் போற.." - இந்த உண்மையை யாரால் தாங்கிக் கொள்ள முடியும்..? அதுவும் அம்மா என்கிற கடமையிருக்கிற ஒரு தாய்க்கு..

ஜேட்கூடி மருத்துவர் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டு கதறி அழுததையும், பின்பு வெளியே வந்து தனது சக போட்டியாளர்களிடம் இதைச் சொல்லி அழுவதையும் பார்த்தபோது பரிதாபமாக இருந்தது.


என்னிடமே இப்போது இந்த வார்த்தையை மருத்துவர் சொன்னால் நான் என்ன ரியாக்ட் செய்வேன் என்பதை என்னால் நினைத்துக்கூட பார்க்க முடியவில்லை.

மும்பை வந்தபோது புன்சிரிப்போடும், உவகையோடும் வந்த ஜேட்கூடி நாடு திரும்பும்போது இருந்த வேதனையை மறைத்துக் கொண்டு சிரித்தபடியே போஸ் கொடுத்துவிட்டுத்தான் போனார்.

லண்டனில் இதன் பின்புதான் ஒரு பெரிய அலையே அடித்திருக்கிறது. அங்கிருந்த மீடியாக்கள் ஜேட்கூடியின் அன்றைய மெடிக்கல் ரிப்போர்ட் என்று தலைப்பிட்டே செய்திகளை மக்கள் மத்தியில் கொண்டு போயிருக்கிறது.

இதன் விளைவு என்ன தெரியுமா? லண்டனில் இருக்கின்ற இளம் வயதுப் பெண்களில் பாதிக்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் ஜேட்கூடிக்கு வந்திருந்த கர்ப்ப் பை புற்றுநோய்க்கான ஆரம்பக் கட்ட சோதனைகளை தங்களுக்குச் செய்து கொண்டார்களாம்.. இவர்களுடைய இந்த விழிப்புணர்வுக்குக் காரணம் ஜேட்கூடிதான்.. அந்த வகையில் அவர்கள் ஜேட்டுக்குத்தான் நன்றி சொல்ல வேண்டும்.

நோயோடு போராடிக் கொண்டே சிரித்த முகத்தோடு தினந்தோறும் ஏதாவது ஒரு டிவியிலோ, பத்திரிகையிலோ பேட்டியளித்தவண்ணமே இருந்துள்ளார் ஜேட். அவர் இதன் மூலம் பணம் சம்பாதித்தார் என்றுகூட வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். பத்திரிகைகளும் அவரை வைத்து சம்பாதிக்கத்தானே செய்தன. அவரைப் பற்றியப் பரபரப்புச் செய்திகளை போட்டி போட்டுக் கொண்டு எழுதினார்களே.. சர்க்குலேஷனும், டிவி ரேட்டிங்கும் ஏறாமலா இருந்திருக்கும்..


மேலே சொன்னபடி குடும்பத்தார் சொல்லியும் கேட்காத இளசுகள் நேரில் பார்த்த ஒரு அனுபவம் தந்த பயத்துடன் மருத்துவமனைக்கு ஓடியிருக்கிறார்களே.. இது நல்ல விஷயம்தானே.. ஒன்றும் தவறில்லை.

இந்த நேரத்திலும் அவர் தனக்குள் இருந்த காதலை மறைக்கவில்லை. வெளிப்படையாகச் சொன்னார். அவரைவிட ஆறு வயது குறைந்த Tweed என்கிற இளைஞருடனான அவரது காதல் கல்யாணம் வரைக்கும் சென்றது.. இருக்கப் போவது எத்தனை நாட்கள் என்பது தெரியாத நிலையிலும் தனது குழந்தைகளுக்கென்று ஒரு பாதுகாப்பு வேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவும், தனது காதலை நிரூபிப்பிதற்காகவும் அவர் எடுத்த கல்யாண முடிவை வாழ்த்தியே ஆக வேண்டும்.

பிப்ரவரி 22-ம் தேதி தனது காதலரைக் கைப்பிடித்தார். நோயின் தாக்கத்தால் தலைமுடியினை இழந்து உடல் தளர்ந்து இருந்த நிலையிலும் அவருடைய உற்சாகம் மாறாத திருமண நடவடிக்கைகளையும், ஓய்வு இல்லாத பேட்டிகள் மற்றும் நிகழ்ச்சிகளையும் பார்த்தபோது ஆச்சரியம்தான் விளைகிறது.


மரணத்தை இவ்வளவு இலகுவாக வரவேற்கிறாரே.. எளிதாகக் கையாளுகிறாரே என்று ஆச்சரியப்பட்டேன். அவருடைய முன்னாள் காதலரான Jeff Brazier மூலம் பிறந்த தனது 2 பையன்களுக்கும் இந்த மாதம் 7-ம் தேதிதான் கிறிஸ்துவ தேவாலயத்தில் பாப்டிஸம் செய்துவைத்துள்ளார். தாய்க்குரிய தனது கடமைகளை செவ்வனே செய்தே தீர வேண்டும் என்கிற அவரது கடமையுணர்ச்சியை நாம் பாராட்டியே ஆக வேண்டும்.

நோய் முற்றி படுத்த படுக்கையான பின்பு தான் மருத்துவமனையில் இறக்க விரும்பவில்லை என்று சொல்லி தனது இல்லத்திற்கு வந்து ஒரு அறையில் ஜன்னலோரமாக வானத்தைப் பார்த்தபடியே படுத்திருந்திருக்கிறார். இனிமேல் தன்னை தனது குடும்பத்தினர் தவிர வேறு யாரையும் சந்திக்க அனுமதிக்க வேண்டாம் என்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளார்.


இது அத்தனை பேரும் நினைப்பதுதான். தான் நன்றாக இருக்கும்போது பார்த்து ரசித்தவர்கள், தான் துன்பப்படுவதைப் பார்த்து வருத்தப்பட்டுவிடக்கூடாது.. அந்தக் கோலம் அவர்கள் மனதில் நிற்கக்கூடாது என்றுதான் நினைப்பார்கள். அதனைத்தான் இவரும் செய்திருக்கிறார். இதனால் ஜேட் கூடியைப் பார்ப்பதற்காகவே லண்டன் சென்ற ஷில்பா ஷெட்டியால்கூட அவரைப் பார்க்க முடியாமல் போய்விட்டது.

லண்டன் மீடியாக்கள் தினந்தோறும் அவரது உடல் நிலை பற்றிய செய்திகளை அப்டேட் செய்தபடியே இருந்துள்ளன. வீட்டு வாசலில் எந்நேரமும் மீடியாக்கள் நிறுத்தப்பட்டு அவரது மரணச் செய்தி எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கொஞ்சம் சிரிப்பு வந்தாலும், அதிகமான கோபம் வந்தாலும் இது போன்றவற்றை பிரபலப்படுத்தியே ஆக வேண்டும் என்றுதான் நானும் நினைக்கிறேன்.

அவர் சும்மா வெறுமனே வயோதிகத்தால் இறக்கவில்லை. கொஞ்சம், கொஞ்சமாக அவரைத் தாக்கிய நோய் அவரைக் கொன்று கொண்டிருக்கிறது. அந்த நோய் பற்றிய அறிவு இந்நேரம் அதைப் பற்றியே கவலைப்படாதவர்களைக்கூடச் சென்றடைந்திருக்கும்..

தனது குழந்தைகளைக்கூட தனது சாவைப் பார்த்துவிடக்கூடாது என்று அவர்களை கூட்டிச் சென்றுவிடச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். சாவரசனுடன் ஒரு நீண்ட போராட்டம் நடத்தி ஓய்ந்து போன ஜேட்கூடி, நேற்று நள்ளிரவு 3 மணி 14-வது நிமிடத்தில் தூக்கத்திலேயே இறந்து போயிருக்கிறார்.

இந்த நாளில் வேறொரு விசேஷமும் உண்டு. 'அம்மாக்கள் நாள்' என்று வரலாற்றில் தன்னைப் பெற்றெடுத்தத் தாய்க்குலங்களை நினைத்துப் பார்க்கும் ஒரு நாள்.. இன்றைக்கே இந்தத் தாயின் உயிர் போயிருக்கிறது.. பொருத்தமாகத்தான் உள்ளது..

இவருடைய வாழ்க்கைப் பாதையில் நிறைய கெட்ட சம்பவங்கள் நடந்திருக்கலாம்.. நம்மால் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள முடியாத விஷயங்கள் இருந்திருக்கலாம்.. அதெல்லாம் இனிமேல் ஒருபோதும் நமக்குத் தேவையில்லை..

எந்தவொரு நோயும் நாடு, இனம், மொழி, ஜாதி, ஏழை, பணக்காரன் என்று பார்த்து வருவதில்லை.. வந்த பின்பு அது கொடுக்கும் துன்பத்தை அனுபவிப்பவர்களை பாவப்பட்ட மனிதர்கள் என்கிற ஒரேயொரு அமைப்பில்தான் சேர்க்க முடியுமே தவிர.. அவர்களுக்கு வேறு ஒரு அடையாளத்தை நம்மால் உருவாக்க முடியாது..

வலைப்பதிவர்களுக்கு நன்கு தெரியும்.. நமது சக வலைப்பதிவரான அனுராதா அம்மா எத்தனை துன்பங்களைத் தாங்கிக் கொண்டு, தான் பட்டத் துன்பங்களை பிறரும்படக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக, அதனை வெளிச்சம் போட்டுக் காட்டி எத்தனை, எத்தனையோ கஷ்டங்களுக்கு மத்தியிலும் தனது துன்பங்களை பதிவு செய்து வைத்தாரே.. மறக்க முடியுமா..?

நான் என்னுடைய குடும்பத்தினரிடமும் அந்த நோயைப் பற்றிச் சொல்லி உடல் பரிசோதனை செய்யச் சொன்னேன்.. சிலர் செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். பலர் படித்துவிட்டு அழுதிருக்கிறார்கள். “பாதிதான் சரவணா படிச்சேன்.. படிக்க முடியல சரவணா..” என்று சில அக்காமார்கள் சொன்ன போது நெகிழ்ந்து போனேன்..

இது போன்ற விழிப்புணர்வுகள் நமக்கு மிக மிகத் தேவைகள்.. எவ்வளவுதான் புத்தகங்கள் அறிவைக் கொடுத்தாலும், அனுபவ அறிவைவிட மிகப் பெரிய அறிவு வேறில்லை. அனுபவப்பட்டவர்கள் சொல்லும்போதுதான் அந்த பிரச்சினையின் விஸ்வரூபம் மற்றவர்களுக்குப் புரிகிறது.. ஏற்றுக் கொள்கிறார்கள். தீர்க்க முயல்கிறார்கள்.

முதலில் அனுராதா அம்மா, இப்போது ஜேட்கூடி என்று சிலருக்கு வரக்கூடிய நோய்களைக்கூட தடுக்கும் தெய்வங்களாக மாறியிருக்கிறார்கள்..

நான் ஏன் இதை உருகி, உருகி எழுதுகிறேன் என்றால் இந்தக் கொடுமையை என் கண்ணார நேரில் கண்டவன் நான். எனது தாய் ஜேட்கூடிக்கு வந்த அதே கர்ப்பப் பை புற்றுநோயால்தான் துடிதுடித்து இறந்து போனார்.

கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒன்றரை வருடங்கள் நான் எந்த வேலை, வெட்டிக்கும் போகாமல் அவர் பக்கத்திலேயே அமர்ந்து தாதி போல் வேலை செய்து அவருடைய துன்பங்களை பார்த்து, பார்த்து மனம் இறுகிப் போய்விட்டது. "முருகா சீக்கிரமா கூப்பிட்டுக்கக் கூடாதா..?" என்று நானும், எனது தாயும், முருகனை வேண்டாத நாளில்லை. அப்படியும் நேரம் வரவில்லை என்று சொல்லி கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒன்றரை வருடம் நாய் படாதபாடு படுத்திய பின்புதான் எனது தாயை அழைத்துக் கொண்டான்.

Now that Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor's best gal pal Amrita Arora has tied the knot, it seems like everyone is buzzing about when Kareena herself will walk down the aisle with her beau Saif Ali Khan. With rumors of marriage flying around ever since the couple first hooked up, Kareena Kapoor recently spoke out on her plans for marriage and from the sounds of it, Saifeena won't be taking any vows anytime soon.

Kareena Kapoor was recently quoted as saying, "It won't happen for the next two years for sure. Am I crazy to get married now when so many wonderful things are happening to my career? Saif himself is ultra-busy trying to set up his production house. Marriage can wait. I'm just happy to have him by my side. I've got the best guy any girl can ever have." Awww... now isn't that sweet?

She's also talking about winning four awards recently, stating, "My mother gets exasperated each time I bring home another trophy. Saif wants to know where I'm going to keep all of them. I've set aside a whole enclave for trophies and awards. I love looking at them. One day my children are going to look at them and be proud of me." Wow, way to be modest Kareena! But then again, when have we ever known Kareena to be modest?

மார்ச் 23,2009,00:00 IST கூகுள் மெயில் இன்றைக்கு எங்கும் பிரகாசமாய் அனைவரின் ஏகோபித்த இமெயில் சாதனமாய் உலகெங்கும் பரவியுள்ளது. கட்டணம் செலுத்தி நிறுவனங்களிடம் இமெயில் வசதி பெற்றவர்கள் கூட (நான் உட்பட) தங்களின் முதன்மை மெயிலாக ஜிமெயிலைத்தான் கொண்டு இயக்கி வருகின்றனர். இதற்குப் பல காரணங்களைச் சொல்லலாம் –– அளவில்லாத மெயில் பாக்ஸ் இடம், அழகான பேக் கிரவுண்ட், எழுத, பெற படிக்க பல வசதிகள் அனைத்து மொழிகளிலும் பயன்படுத்த உதவி என அடுக்கிக் கொண்டு போனாலும் முக்கியமான ஒன்று தான் இன்றும் அதனைத் தூக்கி நிறுத்தியுள்ளது. அது ஜிமெயில் தொடர்ந்து வழங்கி வரும் அதன் புதுமையான வசதிகளே. உலகின் பல்வேறு இடங்களில் அமைந்துள்ள கூகுள் லேப்ஸ் களில் தொடர்ந்து ஏதேனும் புதிய கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் சோதனைக்காக வந்து கொண்டே இருக்கின்றன. இவை வாடிக்கயாளர்களின் கருத்துக்களின்படி பின்னர் மாற்றங்களுக்குள்ளாகி நிலையானவையாக மாறுகின்றன. இன்றைக்குக் கூட ஜிமெயில் தளத்தில் Settings கிளிக் செய்து பின் Labs டேப் கிளிக் செய்து சென்றால் 30 வகையான புதிய சோதனை முயற்சிகளைப் பார்க்கலாம். இவற்றில் எது உங்களுக்குப் பிடிக்கிறதோ அதனைக் கிளிக் செய்திடலாம். பயன்படுத்தி சோதனை முடிவுகளைச் சொல்லலாம். பிடித்த சோதனை முயற்சி அருகே Enable என்ற பட்டனைக் கிளிக் செய்து Save changesஅழுத்தினால் போதும். இங்குள்ள சோதனை முயற்சிகளில் கீ போர்டு ஷார்ட் கட் மிக நன்றாக இயங்குகின்றன. எனவே குறைந்த பட்சம் இதனை நீங்கள் உங்களுக்காக இயக்கிக் கொள்ளலாம். ஜிமெயில் தரும் வேறு சில வசதிகளையும் இங்கு காணலாம். ஜிமெயில் பேக் அப் (ஆப்லைன்) இந்த வசதியினை மைக்ரோசாப்ட் நிறுவனம் தரும் அவுட்லுக் போல தருவதற்கு கூகுள் முயற்சிகளை எடுத்துள்ளது. இணைய இணைப்பு இல்லாமலேயெ உங்கள் இமெயில்களை இதில் கையாளலாம். பிரவுசரில் இயங்கும் ஜிமெயில் போன்ற சூழ்நிலையில் இயங்கும் வகையில் இந்த வசதி தரப்படுகிறது. எப்படி இருந்தாலும் இமெயில்களை அனுப்ப இணைய இணைப்பு வேண்டுமே என்று நீங்கள் எண்ணலாம். ஆனால் இமெயில் கடிதங்களை மெதுவாகவும் பொறுமையாகவும் தயார் செய்து வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாமே. மேலும் ஜிமெயில் இந்த வசதியின் மூலம் உங்கள் இமெயில்கள் அனைத்தையும் பேக் அப் எடுத்து வைத்துக் கொள்ள அனுமதிக்கிறது. எனவே எப்போதாவது ஜிமெயில் இன் பாக்ஸ் அளவிற்கு வரையறை அறிவிப்பு செய்தாலோ அல்லது ஜிமெயில் சர்வரே பிரச்சினை செய்தாலோ உங்கள் பழைய மெயில்கள் அனைத்தும் பத்திரமாக உங்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கும். உங்களுடைய அக்கவுண்ட்டினை பேக் அப் செய்திட முதலில் லேப்ஸ் சென்று அதற்கான செயல்பாட்டினை உணச்ஞடூஞு செய்திட வேண்டும். இதனை மேற்கொண்டவுடன் ‘Offline 0.1’ என ஒரு லிங்க் வலது மூலையில் கிடைக்கும். இதில் கிளிக் செய்தால் உங்கள் பிரவுசர் கூகுள் கியர்ஸ் (Google Gears) ஆட் ஆன் தொகுப்பினை இன்ஸ்டால் செய்திட உங்களுக்கு அறிவுறுத்தும். (இந்த தொகுப்பு தற்போதைக்கு ஆப்பரா பிரவுசரில் இயங்காது.) நீங்கள் குரோம் பிரவுசரைப் பயன்படுத்தினால் இந்த கூகுள் கியர்ஸ் இயல்பாகவே இன்ஸ்டால் செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கும். மற்ற பிரவுசர் பயன்படுத்துபவர்கள் இன்ஸ்டால் பட்டனில் கிளிக் செய்து எஞுச்ணூண் இன்ஸ்டால் செய்திடலாம். இன்ஸ்டால் செய்து முடித்தவுடன் இதனை முழுமையாக இயங்க வைக்க கம்ப்யூட்டரை ரீ பூட் செய்திடவும். இப்போது கியர்ஸ் செக்யூரிட்டி எச்சரிக்கை ஒன்று உங்களிடம் கேட்கப்படும். உங்கள் ஜிமெயில்களை கம்ப்யூட்டரில் பேக் அப் எடுத்து வைக்கவா? என்று கேட்கப்படும். இந்த செய்திக்குப் பக்கத்தில் உள்ள பாக்ஸில் டிக் அடையாளத்தை ஏற்படுத்தவும். உடன் டெஸ்க் டாப்பில் இதற்கான ஷார்ட் கட் ஏற்படுத்தப்படும். உங்கள் மெயில்கள் அனைத்தும் கம்ப்யூட்டரில் காப்பி செய்யப்படும். பொதுவாக நாம் ஜிமெயிலில் வரும் இமெயில் செய்திகளை அழிப்பதே இல்லை என்பதால் பேக் அப் செய்திட சிறிது நேரமாகும். இருப்பினும் கூகுள் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு உள்ள மெயில் செய்திகளை பேக் அப் எடுக்காது. அதே போல ஸ்பேம் மற்றும் ட்ரேஷ் பெட்டிகளில் உள்ள மெயில்களும் கம்ப்யூட்டருக்கு வராது. இனி இந்த பேக் அப் மெயில்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி உங்கள் மெயில்களுக்கான பதில்களையும் இன்டர்நெட் இணைப்பு இல்லாத போதே நீங்கள் தயார் செய்திடலாம். பதிலில் குறிப்பிட்ட டெக்ஸ்ட்டை காட்ட இமெயில் கடிதங்களுக்குப் பதில் அளிக்கையில் நமக்கு வந்த மெயில் டெக்ஸ்ட் அனைத்தும் அதில் இணைக்கப்படுகிறது. இது பல வேளைகளில் தேவையற்ற இணைப்பாக அமைகிறது. ஏனென்றால் நம்முடைய பதில் நமக்கு வந்த மெயிலில் உள்ள ஓரிரு வரிகளுக்கு மட்டுமானதாக இருக்கும். அப்போது அந்த வரிகள் மட்டுமே இருந்தால் நன்றாக இருக்குமே என விரும்புவோம். ஆனால் முழு டெக்ஸ்ட்டும் தானாக இணைக்கப்படும். ஜிமெயிலில் நாம் விரும்பும் டெக்ஸ்ட்டை மட்டும் இணைக்கும் வசதி தரப்படுகிறது. Quote selected Text’ என இது அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. மேலே விளக்கியது போல கூகுள் Labs லிருந்து இதனையும் இன்ஸ்டால் செய்திடவும். பின் உங்களுக்கு வந்த இமெயில் டெக்ஸ்ட்டில் நீங்கள் இணைத்த டெக்ஸ்ட்டை மட்டும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து பின் Reply பட்டனை கிளிக் செய்து பதில் கடிதம் தயாரிக்கத் தொடங்கினால் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த டெக்ஸ்ட் மட்டுமே இருப்பதனைக் காணலாம். உங்களின் ஷார்ட் கட்ஸ்: ஜிமெயில் தரும் ஷார்ட் கட்கள் உங்களுக்கு குறைவாகத் தெரிகிறதா? நீங்கள் விரும்பும் வகையில் சில ஷார்ட் கட் கீ தொகுப்புகளை உருவாக்க விரும்புகிறீர்களா? கூகுள் ஜி லேப்ஸ் இதற்கொரு லிங்க் தருகிறது. அதனை கிளிக் செய்து இன்ஸ்டால் செய்துவிடுங்கள். பின் ஜிமெயில் பக்கத்தில் Settings பிரிவில் புதிய டேப் ஒன்று உருவாக்கப்படும். இதனைக் கிளிக் செய்தால் ஏற்கனவே தானாக அமைக்கப்பட்டு வழங்கப்படும் கீ போர்டு ஷார்ட் கட்களை நீங்கள் அதன் மேப்பில் சென்று மாற்றி அமைத்திடும் வசதி தரப்படுகிறது. ஒரே மாதிரியான கீ தொகுப்புகளை வெவ்வேறு செயல்களுக்கு அமைக்கக் கூடாது. இது போல அமைக்கப்படுகையில் ஜிமெயில் உங்களுக்கு எச்சரிக்கை வழங்கும். அதைச் சரியாகக் கண்டு கொள்ளாமல் அமைத்தால் முதலில் அமைத்த அதே ஷார்ட் கட் கீ அந்த செயல்பாட்டினை விட்டுவிடும். நீங்கள் அமைத்த ஷார்ட் கட் கீகள் அல்லது மாற்றி அமைத்த ஷார்ட் கட் கீகள் உங்களுக்குப் பின் நாளில் வேண்டாம் என நீங்கள் எண்ணினால் மீண்டும் ஜிமெயில் முதலில் வழங்கிய ஷார்ட் கட் கீ செயல்பாடுகளை Default பட்டன் அழுத்திப் பெற்று அமைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம். எச்சரிக்கை: மேலே சொன்ன செயல்பாடுகளுக்கான லிங்க்குகளை கிளிக் செய்து புரோகிராம்களை இன்ஸ்டால் செய்து வசதிகளைப் பயன்படுத்தலாம். ஆனால் இவை அனைத்தும் ஜிமெயில் தன் சோதனைக் கூடத்திலிருந்து உருவான புரோகிராம்களை பயனாளர்கள் மூலம் சோதனையிடத்தான் தருகிறது. எனவே ஏதேனும் ஒரு வசதி சரியாகச் செயல்படாமல் போகலாம். அது மட்டும் கிராஷ் ஆகலாம். அல்லது உங்கள் அக்கவுண்ட்டினை அணுகிப் பெறமுடியாமல் போகவும் வாய்ப்புகள் ஏற்படலாம். அது போல ஏற்படும் சமயத்தில் அக்கவுண்ட்டினைச் சரி செய்திட கூகுள் ஒரு வழி ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. பிரச்சினை செய்திடும் குறிப்பிட்ட சோதனைச் சாலை வசதியை தற்காலிகமாக நிறுத்தி வைக்கலாம். இதற்கு http://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0 என்னும் முகவரியில் உள்ள தளத்தை அணுக வேண்டும். மவுஸ் பயன்பாடு ஜிமெயில் மவுஸினை முற்றிலும் புதுமையான வழிக ளில் பயன்படுத்த வழி தருகிறது. Mouse Gestures என அழைக்கப்படும் இந்த சோதனை வசதி மூலம் இணைய தளத்தில் இருக்கையில் மவுஸை அசைப்பதன் மூலம் பல செயல்பாடுகளை மேற்கொள்ளலாம். இந்த செயல்பாட்டினை இன்ஸ்டால் செய்த பின் மவுஸின் ரைட் பட்டனை அழுத்தியவாறே இமெயில் தளத்தில் இடது பக்கம் இழுத்துச் சென்றால் முன் உள்ள இமெயிலுக்குச் செல்லலாம். வலது பக்கம் இழுத்தால் அடுத்த இமெயிலுக்குச் செல்லலாம். மேலே இழுத்தால் இன் பாக்ஸ் செல்லலாம். இவ்வாறு இன்னும் பல செயல்பாடுகளை மவுஸை இழுத்தவாறே மேற்கொள்ளலாம். இவற்றை முழுமை யாகத் தெரிந்து கொண்டால் நீங்கள் அடுத்து கீ போர்டில் எந்த கீயையும் பயன்படுத்தாமல் மவுஸை மட்டுமே பயன்படுத்துவீர்கள் என்பது உறுதி

'Dostana' - the Sequel

The major success of Karan Johar's 'Dostana' had many speculating whether there would be a sequel to the smash hit. Well if you're one of those people then we're here to put your wondering to rest because a sequel to'Dostana' is all set to happen!

Producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukani are all for making a sequel which will again be based on the friendship between John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan's characters, who pretended to be a gay couple in the original film, but no word on whether Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol will appear in the film.

Director Tarun is busy working on the script and wants to make sure it's a gripping story that justifies a sequel, not just another way to make money off the first film's success. Sounds like a smart director to us, but let's see how the script turns out first!

Word is part 2 will show the friends as they travel from Miami to Punjab as they try to prove to everyone that they are in fact straight. But of course they are caught in situations which make it difficult to dispel their claims. So it looks like we're going to be getting tons more pretend gay antics. Why do we have a feeling the ''Maa Da Ladla' bit with Abhishek's mom played by Kiron Kher, will be in the sequel?

நிறைவேற்றுவார்களா?....... சன் குழுமத்தினர்........

பொன்னியின் செலவன். தமிழில் வாசகன் என்று சொல்லிக் கொண்டு யார் சுற்றினாலும் பொன்னியின் செல்வன் பற்றி கொஞ்சமேனும் தெரிந்திருப்பர். இணையத்தளங்களில் சுற்றி சுற்றி சுழற்றி சுழற்றி வளைத்து நெளித்து எழுதிவருகிறார்கள்.

பொன்னியின் செலவனை திரையில் காண்பது என்பது அரை நூற்றாண்டுகளாக தமிழனின் எதிர்பார்ப்பாக இருக்கிறது. பெரிய பெரிய புத்தகங்களாக ஐந்து பாகங்கள் எழுதப்பட்ட புதினம் அது. சில {பல} ஆண்டுகள் தொடர்கதையாக வந்த கதை . தனியாக திரைக்கதை எதுவும் எழுத வேண்டிய அவசியமில்லாமல் கதையே திரைக் கதையாய் அமைந்த நூல் அது. அவ்வளவு விறுவிறுப்பான கதை திரைக்கதை கையில் இருக்கும் போது அதை ஏன் திரைப்படமாக எடுக்கவில்லை?

நாடோடி மன்னன், உத்தமபுத்திரன், வஞ்சிக் கோட்டை வாலிபன் , ஒளவையார், போன்ற படங்கள் வந்த காலத்திலேயே எடுத்திருக்கலாம். பட்ஜெட் ஓரளவு கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இருந்திருக்கும். இருந்தாலும் எடுக்கவில்லை. எடுக்காததன் காரணமாக சில விஷயங்களை கூறலாம்.

கதையின் போக்கு:-
கதையில் பல இடங்களில் பலமுக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்கள் தென்படுகின்றன. பொருத்தமான ஆட்கள் கிடைக்காமல் போயிருக்கலாம். ஆதித்த கரிகாலர், அருண்மொப்ழிவர்மர், வந்திய தேவன் போன்ற பாத்திரங்களுக்கு சரியான ஆட்கள், ஈகோ விட்டுக் கொடுத்து நடிக்கும் சூழ்நிலை இல்லாமல் போயிருக்கலாம்.

பட்ஜெட்:-
எழுபதுகளில் நிறைய நாயகர்கள், நாயகிகள் இருந்தாலும் பட்ஜெட் அதிகமாக வந்திருக்கக் கூடிய வாய்ப்புகள். கலரில் எடுத்தாக வேண்டிய கட்டாயம். ஒருவேளை ராஜராஜ சோழன் படத்திற்கு கூட முதலில் இந்தக் கதையை தேர்ந்தெடுத்திருக்க கூடிய வாய்ப்புகளே அதிகம். பட்ஜெட் மிக மிக அதிகமாக போயிருக்கும்.

முடிவு:-
புதினத்தின் முடிவில் பொன்னியின் செல்வன் மகுடத்தைத் தூக்கி உத்தமச் சோழன் தலையில் சூடுவதை சினிமா பிரம்மாக்களும், சராசரி ரசிகர்களும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்வார்களா.... கண்டிப்பாக வாய்ப்பில்லை. பெரிய நடிகர்களின் ரசிகர்கள் தீக்குளிக்க க் கூட தயங்க மாட்டார்கள். சரித்திர கதையாய் போய்விட்டதால் முடிவை மாற்றவேவேவே முடியாது.

கல்கி:-
கல்கியின் வர்ணனைகளை காட்சியாக்குவது என்பது ஒரு தவம் போன்று செய்யவேண்டிய ஒன்று. பல காட்சிகளை திரைக்கு கொண்டுவரும் அளவுக்கு தொழில்நுட்பம் சென்ற நூற்றாண்டின் இறுதிவரைக்கும் கூட கிடையாது.

80களில்
இளம் நடிகர்களின் ஆதிக்கத்தில் வந்ததால் பாத்திரங்களை தாங்கும் வல்லமை படைத்த நடிகர்களும். பட அதிபர்களும் இயக்குநர்களும் சரித்திர கதைகளிலிருந்து விலகியே இருந்தார்கள்.



இன்றைய சூழல்:-

இன்றைய சூழல் அற்புதமாக இருக்கிறது. முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களான ஆதித்ய கரிகாலன், அருள்மொழிவர்மன், உத்தம சோழன் கதாபாத்திரங்களை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள சரியான ஆட்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். ஆட்கள் என்பதைவிட ஆள் என்பது சரியாக இருக்கும். ஆம். கமலஹாசன்தான் அவர். அவரையே இந்த வேடங்களை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளச் சொல்லலாம். இறுதிக்காட்சியில் கமலஹாசனுக்கே பட்டம் சூட்டப் படுவதால் ரசிகணும் ஏமாற்றம் அடைய மாட்டார்கள், பராந்தகச் சோழன் மற்றும் பழைய காட்சிகளில் வரும் பல சோழச் சக்கரவர்த்திகள் கதாப்பாத்திரங்களையும் கமலஹாசனையே செய்யச் சொன்னால் அவருக்கும் ஒரு சாதனை படைத்த மாதிரி இருக்கும்.


வந்தியத் தேவன் கதாபாத்திரத்தைக் கூட கமல ஹாசனைச் செய்யச் சொல்லலாம். என்ன கூடுதல் மேக் அப் தேவைப் படும். [மற்றவர்கள் ஒரே வம்சத்தில் பிறந்தவர்கள். இவர் வேறு குலம். எனவே வித்தியாசம் தெரியவேண்டாமா..... } ஆனால் எந்த ஈகோ பிரச்சனை யும் ஏற்படாது.

நந்தினியாக நயந்தாராவையும், குந்தவையாக நமீதாவையும் போட்டுவிடலாம். வானதி, மணிமேகலை பாத்திரங்களுக்கு பாவனா, சமிக்ஷா போன்றவர்களைப் போட்டுவிடலாம். வீரப்பாண்டியன், பழுவேட்டரையர் போன்ற பாத்திரங்களுக்கு நெப்போலியன் பிரகாஷ்ராஜ் போன்றவர்களை உபயோகப் படுத்திக் கொள்ளலாம்.

கிராஃபிக்ஸ் உபயோகப் படுத்தி முடிந்தவரை கல்கியின் காட்சிகளை கொண்டுவந்துவிடலாம்.

படத்தின் செலவுதான் கண்டபடிஆகும். ஆனால் அதற்கு ஒரேவழிதான் இருக்கிறது. சன் டி,வி. அவர்களால்தான் இது முடியும். ஏற்கனவே பட்ஜெட் பிரச்சனையால் தள்ளாடிய பல படங்களை அவர்கள் காப்பாற்றியுள்ளனர். தமிழ் வாசகனின் பலநாள் ஏக்கத்தை அவர்களால் மட்டுமே தீர்க்க முடியும்.


திரைப்படமாக எடுக்கும் வாய்ப்பு அமையா விட்டாலும் குறைந்தபட்சம் மெகா சீரியலாகவாவது எடுக்க வேண்டும். நந்த்னிக்கும் குந்தவைக்கும் இடையே நடக்கும் பிரச்சனைகள் பெண்கள் மத்தியில் பயங்கர வரவேற்பினைப் பெறும். நந்தினிக்கு நடக்கும் சோகங்கள் பெண்கள் மத்தியில் ரத்தக் கண்ணீரை வரவைக்கும்.


ஒட்டுமொத்த தமிழ்ரசிகர்களின் அரைநூற்றாண்டு கனவினைத்தீர்க்கும் வலிமை சன் டி.வி.க்கு மட்டுமே உண்டு. நிறைவேற்றி வைப்பார்களா?
