Swami Graces Outdoor Stage at Mosaic Music Festival
Swami's sound is an eclectic combination of pop, British-Indian Bhangra, and off-beat club electro. They create a multi dimensional sound with three vocalists, a DJ with guitar, keys, and decks, and a dhol. It's both traditional and futuristic, an element that has propelled them to a global status.
Currently signed with EMI/Virgin records, Swami's Electro Jugni/She's Mine EP has already released. We at Desi Hits! brought you the world exclusive premiere of 'Sugarless,'to download, on June 12th. If you haven't yet, check out "Sugarless" below.

The South Asian Mosaic Festival in Canada is gearing into its 4th year and is set to go off at 4 PM today at Civic Square. It celebrates Canadians of South Asian descent and features an array of musicians, artists, and other talents. The festival is hosted by TELUS Mosaic Filmi Collaboration.
Spanning three days (Friday through Sunday), the festival showcases some big names, including Swami who headlines the second day. Preceding Swami in the lineup is a whole day of performances with Shweta & Diya Academy and Nachdi Jawani in the final three acts of Friday. On Saturday RDB and Nindy Kaur will headline the festival finale. Before them is Cassius Khan & Kreuger Singh and Sonay Gabroo Punjab De amongst nine more acts and activities like a start to the day with yoga.

Another 'Mission Impossible?'
According to Abrams, "Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing, I am incredibly honored that Tom has invited me back as a producer." The two have been quite busy despite having such earnest aspirations. J.J. Abrams is coming off the widely praised "Star Trek" and is reportedly working on a sequel to the sci-fi film. Tom Cruise is working on a spy drama opposite Cameron Diaz and Denzel Washington called "The Matarese Circle."
The "Mission Impossible" film series dates back to 1996 and all three films have grossed over a billion dollars worldwide. With the success of the franchise, the popularity J.J. Movie Trailer for Bollywood Film 'Luck'
Fresh faced cutie, Imran Khan is back with a brand new film and we've got the trailer for it! 'Luck,' is an ensemble cast starring Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty and introducing Shruti Haasan, who is the daughter of actor Kamal Haasan.
Although their last film together flopped, 'Luck' reunites Imran with his 'Kidnap' co-star Sanjay Dutt in a fast paced action thriller. From the looks of it, it's based on a high stakes game with Sanjay Dutt at the helm. Plus, there's a hot and heavy romance between Imran and Shruti in the film (come on it is Bollywood, they got to throw in a little love in the mix!)
The film is supposed to have some death defying stunts and action sequences, and in one of them Imran was required to jump from a plane onto a movie train! The high risk shot was filmed in Bangkok and was set up and choreographed by ace action director, Allan Amin.

Sunny Brown's Bombay Bo
The hit trio that brought us the 2008 summer anthem "Tonight" is back. That's right. Baba Kahn, Lomaticc, and Sunny Brown have just released their single "Bombay Bo" from their upcoming album 'Culture Shock 2' which is due for release July 29, 2009.
This Urban Desi crew hails from Canada and has made an impression on us all with their songs, including, 'Shiva', 'Tonight', and 'Slip and Fall'. Baba Kahn has produced the album and Sunny Brown and Lomaticc are the vocalists. Together they have created magic and hit the top of the charts. Does 'Bombay Bo' live up to their name?
The track is being called another club banger and Sunny Brown and Lomaticc's smooth vocals seem to be on point. The track is inspired by the song "Akkad Bakkad Bombay Bo" from the movie 'King Uncle'. The original track is a silly Bollywood song geared towards children, but 'Bombay Bo' is nothing like that. This track has a great beat and with its catchy tune it's hard to not get up and dance. Priyanka Chopra Ruffled by Ashutosh Gowariker's Comments at the IIFA
During his speech at the IIFA he said, "Priyanka I love you, but I don't know how you got the award for Best Actress when Aishwarya was also nominated in the same category for 'Jodhaa Akbar'."
His attempt to cover up this faux pas didn't help, "Maybe it is because you are very hard-working and she is a natural...Jayaji was just asking me the same thing."
Sufficed to say, Priyanka Chopra was astonished that Ashutosh Gowariker would say such a thing. She avoided him at an IIFA after party by saying "I don't want to go there and see his face." Someone at the event said Priyanka is furious that Ashutosh went on a public platform and questioned her Best Actress award for Fashion."
It was tacky gesture of Ashutosh Gowariker to share his opinion so openly at the awards ceremony. We understand why Priyanka Chopra was so mad. We want to know what our readers think.
