Elvis Presley to live on through teenage grandson
Ben, the 17-year-old son of Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie Presley, has been offered a $5 million [£3.3 million] deal by Universal to make up to five albums, reports the Telegraph.
"The music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all," he said at the Inspiration Awards for Women, at Cadogan Hall, in Belgravia.
The teenager is currently taking a break from making the album, which he hopes to release next year.
"He's a typical 17 year-old," says his spokesman. "He doesn't get up before midday and then grunts at you."
B Projekt and Juggy D's 'Ni Sohniye' Video Shoot
When news broke about Juggy D's upcoming track on B Projekt's album, we couldn't wait to hear it! "Ni Soniye" has remained a mystery as the teaser was just a small snippet of what we assumed was the song. Well, as B Projekt noticed a demand for more, he decided to release an exclusive video with behind the scenes footage of the video shoot.
The intense video shoot took 22 hours as the artists wanted perfection. Model Bruna is quite excited as she talks about her costume and the experience shooting with Juggy D and B Projekt. Juggy D looks all cleaned up and treats us to an impromptu performance. The video is due out this month and we can't wait!

Jury Deadlocked On Top Charge In NY Theft Of Kirsten Dunst’s Bag
NEW YORK, New York --
A jury deadlocked Friday on the most serious charge against a mechanic who said he was misled into taking part in the theft of Kirsten Dunst’s $2,000 handbag during a Manhattan movie shoot.
James Jimenez was convicted of a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass. But jurors deadlocked on burglary and other charges in the case, which included testimony from the “Spider-Man” star and her one-time co-star Simon Pegg.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the 35-year-old would be retried on the burglary charge in the August 2007 theft. It came while the 2008 comedy “How to Lose Friends&Alienate People” was being filmed at the SoHo Grand Hotel.
For now, he remains free on $50,000 bail at least until his Nov. 13 sentencing date on the criminal trespass count. It could send Jimenez, 35, to jail for up to a year. A burglary conviction carries as much as 15 years in prison.
“I feel pretty good,” he said as he left court holding a Bible. “I never gave up my faith in the Lord.”
There was no immediate response from representatives for Dunst and Pegg, whose cell phone and other items also were taken.
Jimenez told jurors he thought he was helping run an errand for co-defendant Jarrod Beinerman’s mother when the two men slipped into a penthouse suite at the hotel around 4 a.m. on Aug. 9, while the movie was being filmed downstairs. Dunst and Pegg had left some belongings in the suite, which they had used to relax between takes.
Dunst told the jury last week that she returned to find her $2,000 Balenciaga bag missing, along with the $2,000 inside. Pegg testified that his phone, camera and iPod also disappeared.
Some of the items, including Dunst’s purse, eventually were returned.
Jimenez testified that Beinerman took the items. Jimenez carried them out of the hotel in a shopping bag but said he didn’t realize what was in it.
Beinerman was sentenced last September to 4 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted burglary.

Michael Jackson Honored at the 2009 MOBO Awards
We remember last year’s MOBO Awards in London when Jay Sean announced the big news that he had just signed with Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records, what a night!
But this year’s Music of Black Origin Awards was a night to remember the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Few American artists made their way to Glasgow, Scotland for the event, but Jermaine and Latoya were there to accept their brother’s Lifetime Achievement prize.
Other winners at the 14th MOBO Awards held at the SECC Arena include Keri Hilson for Best R&B Artist, Sean Paul for Best Reggae Artist, and of course Beyonce for Best International Performance and Best Video for "Single Ladies."
The evening was hosted by Reggie Yates and Keri Hilson who introduced acts by British boyband JLS, hip- hop artist Tinchy Stryder, R&B group N-Dubz, and 18-year-old 'grime' singer Chipmunk.
For Kanya King the founder and head of the MOBO Awards, the event was a success: "It feels like we’ve truly arrived. This is what I’ve been striving for all of these years, when people say that urban acts don’t sell. This is the most phenomenal year for British stars ever. I’ve never known a year like this for British music. Just look at the worldwide rise to fame that these artists have had."
Congrats to all the winners! Whether you are established artists or up and comers, we wish you the best of luck in your careers. Hopefully you will have as good a year as Jay Sean!

Lady Gaga: ‘I’m Still Going On Tour This November’
NEW YORK, New York --
Kanye West and Lady Gaga may have canceled their “Fame Kills” tour on Thursday, but the “Just Dance” singer won’t be sitting at home this fall.
Lady Gaga revealed to Access Hollywood on Friday that she will indeed be hitting the road in the coming weeks.
“We just mutually decided to cancel the tour, but I’m still going on tour this November,” the pop princess told Access.
The peroxide blonde pop star revealed her own tour is set to kick off very soon.
“I’ll be leaving only a week later,” Gaga said.
Dates for the “Paparazzi” singer’s trek have yet to be announced, but she is looking forward to reconnecting with her growing fan base.
“I’ll see you guys all there,” she said.
No reason was given for the cancellation of the “Fame Kills” tour, but following Kanye’s stage invasion during Taylor Swift’s Best Female Video award acceptance speech at September’s MTV Video Music Awards, the rapper revealed he wanted to take some time off.
“I need to, after this, just take some time off and analyze how I’m [going to] make it through the rest of this life, how I’m [going to] improve and because I am a celebrity and that’s something I have to deal with,” Kanye previously told Jay Leno on the inaugural “Jay Leno Show” last month. “And if there’s anything I can do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone I like, ‘cause you know, I [want to] live, this thing is hard.”

'Zombieland' looks to kill at the boxoffice
'Toy Story' films to bow as a 3D double feature
"Zombieland" |
Disney sends out 3D versions of its animated classics "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" as a double feature Friday.
"Many parents will feel connected to the films, but their kids have never seen them on the big screen," Disney distribution boss Chuck Viane said. "So I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with this."
Still, the extra-dimensional gambit is largely a scene-setter for the June arrival of "Toy Story 3," and a weekend haul of about $10 million looks likely.
Significantly, the Disney double feature and two new releases each will get relatively modest distribution in 1,700-1,800 theaters. By contrast, Sony's new Woody Harrelson-toplined zombie comedy "Zombieland" is set to enliven 3,036 venues and should top the session with $25 million or more in domestic boxoffice through Sunday.
"It's just the kind of action comedy that we feel is already resonating in the marketplace," Sony distribution president Rory Bruer said.
Indeed, even a top exec at a rival studio said he was intrigued by marketing materials for the slapstick gorefest.
"Off the record? I'm going!" the exec confided.
"Zombieland" was produced by Columbia Pictures for an estimated $24 million.
Elsewhere this weekend, Fox will open the Fox Searchlight-produced roller-derby movie "Whip It," starring Ellen Page ("Juno"). The best hopes for the pic, which marks Drew Barrymore's feature directing debut, seem to lie in the longer haul built primarily on interest among female demos.
"It should have great legs because the playability is excellent," Fox distribution boss Bruce Snyder said.
Fox offered 502 sneak previews of the film Saturday and drew audiences filled to an average 62% of capacity, including scattered sellouts. A bow in the high-single-digit millions looks likely.
Warner Bros. debuts the high-concept comedy "The Invention of Lying," starring Gervais. "Lying" is tracking a bit softly in prerelease surveys of prospective moviegoers and could bow in the mid-single-digit millions.
Also Friday, Overture expands Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story" to 962 theaters. The documentary has rung up about $400,000 from a week of bicoastal exclusive engagements.
Meanwhile, the industry is looking to get back into the win column after a year-over-year downtick last weekend. The latest frame will be compared with a $113.5 million session from last year topped by the $29.2 million bow of Disney family comedy "Beverly Hills Chihuahua."
Despite recent lackluster sessions, the domestic boxoffice, at $7.6 billion, maintains a 5% year-to-date increase over the same portion last year.
KcK's 'Devil Firemix'
When this brand new Urban Desi artist’s track ended up on our desk, we didn’t know what to expect. Was this going to be another club banger? Or sweet vocals over a sexy R&B track? Not at all! KcK is not creating those types of songs.
The artist tells us, "my music has never been done before, on an Asian or mainstream platform."
Devil Firemix
There is no denying that the track "Devil Firemix" has a different sound all together from the Urban Desi hits we have been hearing around the world lately.
The artist took some time to tell us how he approaches each song.
"The difference between myself and others is that I promote firstly a positive message and I think about the audience or the listeners before myself. By doing this, as this is how I have always been, gives me the capability to write songs that relate to individuals of any age, sex race or background on a global level."
Well one thing is for sure; the boy is quite articulate and has a clear vision of what he is trying to accomplish. But will his music please the masses?
KcK asks, "Have you heard the music I do anywhere else here, or in the rest of the world??" Drop your replies below and tell us what you think of the song.
