So with the ever evolving glitz and glamours of Hollywood, it's natural that everyone including the already rich and famous would want a nice chunk of the treasure. The G-Unit pioneer, 50 Cent is the most recent case, after he removed tattoos from his body to make himself more marketable on the Hollywood scale.
We have already seen the rapper in a few films, but he is obviously hoping to improve his career big time. We have all probably heard lyrics from the rapper or seen interviews in which he expressed that his tats mean a lot to him, showing markings of his lifetime. Despite this 50 Cent has ditched the gangster markings and has turned to other means to keep those memories alive,(a diary maybe).
According to 50, "I gotta go through four hours of make up before we go ahead and play the role. So, I just took it off my arm. My right arm."
Must we expect more of these instant changes from rappers, R& B stars or just the rich and famous in general, as they extend their resumes and broaden their movie making horizons? It is very possible that you may hear soon that your most beloved songbird is retiring, abandoning her guitar or your suave super star is giving up his is cool look for a more sophisticated image for the big screens. Whatever the case, it is definitely obvious that the Hollywood movie star phase is here to stay.
The question now is, will he make it in the Hollywood world? Who knows, he could be the next big thing on the big screens and he will be able to do it in far less hours of make-up, now that the G has less tattoos.
Do you think 50 Cent took a step in the right direction? Drop your comments below.
