Harman Baweja hasn't exactly been the belle of the ball in Bollywood. His movies have gone from bad to worst. Both 'Love Story 2050' and 'Victory' left a bad taste in the mouths of people. That's why it's a shock to everyone that one of his movies has made it all the way to the Cannes Film Festival for this year.
Director Pan Nalin may be the only person around who was actually impressed with Harman Baweja's performance in the film 'Victory.' He didn't waste any time signing the young actor on to do a documentary for 'Echo of Eco.' We're sure Harman Baweja is yelling "In your face Bollywood!" at this very moment.
'Echo of Eco' is a documentary that follows thirty filmmakers from all over the world as they make movies themed after 'Save Our Environment.' Pan Nalin was the chosen filmmaker from India and from all of the actors he could have chosen, he chose Harman Baweja.
Pan Nalin said, "Echo of Eco's lead role is that of a young Indian software millionaire, who loses everything in the current Economic Meltdown-like many others in recent times, he too decides to kill himself. Harman has the right look, besides when producer Deepika Gandhi and Mihir Upadhyaya contacted Harman, he read the script and instantly volunteered to participate. He even found dates from his busy back- to-back schedule from Ashutosh Gowarikar's new film." Producer Mihir Upadhyaya added "Harman was quick to understand the message of the film and promptly agreed to join us. I found this gesture of Harman filled with humility and responsibility."
