Shahrukh Khan to Become ‘Dhoom 3’s’ Latest Villain?

Say hello to the bad guy. That bad guy, for the third installment of the movie “Dhoom,” will be none other than Shahrukh Khan! The Bollywood megastar has landed perhaps the most coveted role right now in Bollywood. According to “Dhoom” director, Aditya Chopra, Khan’s character will be named “Rahul” or “Mr. R.” While it should come as no surprise to anyone that Shahrukh Khan is able to land the biggest roles Bollywood has to offer, it is quite surprising that he is reverting back to darker, more evil roles. If you miss the old antagonistic SRK on your screen, he is coming back!

Shahrukh Khan is going to play the role of villain, following in some great company. The first “Dhoom” starred John Abraham as Kabir, the head of a rogue street motorcyclist gang. Hrithik Roshan played the master thief “Mr. A” in “Dhoom 2,” effectively becoming the main character. Yes, he even outshined the lead actors Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, and Aishwarya Rai! The first two “Dhoom” movies were massively successful, so Shahrukh Khan has a lot to live up to if he wants to make “Dhoom 3” a hit.

This will not be the first time Shahrukh Khan has worked with Aditya Chopra. The 2008 movie “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” broke opening week Bollywood box office records for Shahrukh Khan and Yash Raj Films, ironically also surpassing “Dhoom 2.” No word just yet on when “Dhoom 3” is set to hit theaters, but believe that the anticipation for this movie will be at a fever pitch when the time comes. This is probably a good change of style for Shahrukh Khan and will be a good platform for him to show just why he is one of the best and most versatile actors in the Bollywood industry.
