Many Americans probably hadn’t heard of Shahrukh Khan until little over a week ago, when the star was detained for two hours at Newark Liberty International Airport.
SRK came to the U.S. to take part in India's Independence Day celebrations. Ironically, he had been in the States several times before to shoot his new movie "My Name is Khan," which is about racial profiling of Muslims after 9/11.
The incident caused quite a stir both in the U.S. and in India. So after a week of controversial comments, celebrity remarks, countless interviews, accusations, and denials, where are we now?
Well, now we are at funny; the issue has become food for comedian Jon Stewart in the popular American "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central. Check out the humorous segment from Wednesday’s show below, in which correspondent Aasif Mandvi, who is an Indian from Tampa, Florida, educates the host, Jon Stewart, on SRK's superstar status in Bollywood.
Do you guys think that Shahrukh Khan's incident is funny? Do you also agree with Jon Stewart that all of this may just be a publicity stunt for his film "My Name is Khan?" Watch the video below and drop off your comments.
