He was also just announced the winner of the 'Best Brand Ambassador of the Year' Award at the 2009 NDTV Techlife Awards. This is an award where people are nominated from the brand companies. Categories included Mobile Phone of the Year, Gadget Eye Candy, and Best Celebrity Endorsement.
After receiving the honor, Abhishek Bachchan responded by saying that "It is a great honor to win the title of 'Best Brand Ambassador' for the IDEA & Motorola campaigns. The IDEA campaign carries a socially relevant message in today's commercial environment and the brilliant concept of encouraging two way communications between the government and people has connected with millions across India. I feel proud to be associated with the best brands in the gadgets and technology space".
