Here's some more Hollywood to Bollywood news for your eyes and ears! Seems like the next Hollywood star to go on a Bollywood spin is none other than, 'Basic Instinct' star, Sharon Stone! Reportedly the 51 year old Sharon (damn she still looks good for her age!) has agreed to do a film titled, 'Lost Love' and will be directed by Tapan Saha. Word is that her role is loosely based on the character of Maxine from Jhumpa Lahiri's novel, 'The Namesake.' If you recall, Maxine is the Caucasian girl that is the main character Gogol dated before he married a Bengali girl. The film is supposed to be shot in India.
Sharon will reportedly be in Mumbai and Kolkata for the shoot which will supposedly be produced by either Lighthouse or Lionsgate productions along with Sampurn Entertainment, all of which are huge production houses in Hollywood. The director Tapan Saha, will be working with Hollywood script writers as well.
As for Sharon's character, she will be playing the daughter of a rich business family that settled in Los Angeles. She gets dumped by her Indian boyfriend and the film is about her journey to India and how she tries to find her love. Plus we hear Sharon is very excited about filming in Mumbai! Sounds like fun to us too!
So the question is - what do you think about Sharon Stone shooting a film in India? After all, it isn't really a Bollywood project, rather a Hollywood film shot in India. But it does get us thinking about who will be playing Sharon Stone's ex-boyfriend that she's chasing after in India? Hmm... may we suggest a Bollywood star perhaps?
