Perhaps it's the fact that John Abraham is young and sexy or the fact that he doesn't yet have any kids, but, whatever the reason-John Abraham has refused the role of the father in Karan Johar's Bollywood remake of the 1998 American film, 'Stepmom.' The superstar, who is in the upcoming movie "New York," hasn't given a reason for his sudden drop from the movie.
Why John left is still unclear, but Karan Johar didn't waste any time finding a replacement for John Abraham (considering the fact that he probably paid big bucks to get the rights to the film, we don't blame him). Karan Johar had to move quickly to find a new father in the 'Stepmom' remake since we all know, time is money. Arjun Rampal, who has two daughters himself, had no problem stepping up to the plate.
Some media sources think that this could be the making of Arjun Rampal's career. They were citing Rani Mukerji taking the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' role when others had refused, as an example of second string actors who made it big. Who knows if this will be the pivotal role in Arjun Rampal's career? If it is, then it may leave John Abraham regretful, but we're sure he'll find something else.
What do our readers think about John Abraham refusing the role? Do you think that Arjun Rampal will do a better job than John Abraham would have? Make sure you let us know your thoughts.
