Ever since Michael Jackson passed away, there has been talk about everything from how he died to what will happen to his estate. We wanted to give our readers an update on all the info on the King of Pop. New information seems to come out every day on his life and death.
The tragic, sudden death of Michael Jackson left his fans all over the world shocked. Well, Michael Jackson has always been someone who drew attention for his strange behavior. Apparently, he will also do the same in death. While at first the family was planning on displaying his body at Neverland Ranch, now the memorial seems to have become a bigger spectacle.
There will be a ceremony in Michael Jackson’s honor and it will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The tickets were free to the public. Over 1.6 million people logged in online to win. Only 8,750 people and their guests won. The winners received a wristband for themselves and for a guest. Although the actual winner can’t sell their wristband, the spokesman for the event Michael Roth said "Theoretically, the second wristband can be sold.”
Advertisements for wristbands have already gone up on both Craigslist.org and Ebay.com. The tickets have a hefty price tag at approximately $20,000. But with performances from artists like Jennifer Hudson, it’s no surprise that this would happen. The memorial will take place on Tuesday July 7th. Plans for the family’s funeral have still not been finalized.
Meanwhile, there’s still a battle going on over Michael Jackson’s estate. According to his 2002 will, his mother was given custody along with his children. Since then, she was awarded temporary custody of the estate. A judge has denied her request to remain in control of the estate.
We want to know what our readers think about all of the chaos still going on, although Michael Jackson has passed on. Do you feel like you’ve heard enough about Michael Jackson? Or are you interested in keeping up on all of the latest information? Let us know your thoughts.
