After the release of their album "Life Through Melody" last year, Urban Desi group, Bonafide have brought visuals to their lyrics through their music videos. Along with the album have come 3 videos: 'Ishq Hogaya,' 'Pata Laga Na,' and 'Do Me Like You Do.' Now they can add 'Can I Hold You' to that list. That's right, Bonafide have just released a new video for their album 'Life Through Melody.'
'Can I Hold You' is a track that features the vocals of Kay-O, who sings in Spanish. "Tu amor da me lo te melo. Tu corazón, da me lo te melo." Sounds hot! Bonafide sing their lyrics in English and in Hindi making this Urban Desi collaboration fresh. With the track's catchy beat and smooth lyrics the song is one worth listening too. The video on the other hand, not so much.
Like every other video out there, there's a club, pretty girls, and a packed dance floor. The editing of the video is really rough. Half the video seems to have been shot with proper equipment and lightening and the other half, home video in the car? The salsa dancing is understandable with the Spanish lyrics. As for the flames, I am sure that this idea could have been executed better. The video has nothing new and is not one I would watch again.
Bonafide put out some good tracks that have made it too the top of the charts but their videos just don't match up. It seems like many other Urban Desi videos, Bonafide's included, are becoming the same boring club scene, same lighting, and the same "dance moves."
