Before Jay Sean, Juggy D and Veronica were at the height of their success, the artists were known as the 2 point 9 crew or Doh Point Nau. Rishi Rich discovered these talents who would join him in becoming key players of the Urban Desi movement. The newcomers built their platform into the music industry with the limited resources that any artist has at the start of their career. Their videos weren't all about glitz and glamor but instead focused on Brit Asian youth hanging out on the streets of London . Anyone could relate to these young artists who represented the strong Asian population in the UK. That's what made the world connect to the 2 point 9 crew. They were real people giving us real music.
Before we knew it they became an international success. There vocals were heard on remixes done for the likes of Britney Spears, Madonna and many more. The crew was also responsible for some of Bollywood's major hits, such as "U n I" produced by Rishi Rich and sung by Veronica and Juggy D.
For many, 2point9's best track was and will always be "Dance With You." Its catchy beats from producer Rishi Rich are complimented by the smooth Punjabi sounds of Juggy D and the popular English vocals of Jay Sean creating this classic Urban Desi song. Even the video emits an enjoyable and chilled out vibe with their casual dancing on the streets of London back in 2003.
Another one of their biggest hits as a group was "Got My Eyes On You" that has more of a story behind the video and even features a kind of double role of Jay Sean. Another 2003 release, this song has been remixed and redone numerous times and walks through the streets of South Hall London.
However, not all of their videos were complete successes. "Push It Up" from even earlier was a lot less known and definitely at a lower budget. Juggy D and Jay Sean even had to share a mic for the video. Shot in Puerto Rico the music video is focused around Juggy D and Jay Sean having a good time with some local ladies.
Lastly the 2point9 crew, this time Juggy D, Rishi Rich, and Veronica, did the hugely successful song from the Bollywood movie "Hum Tum" with Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan. When this song came out in 2004, Doh Point Nau reached an even bigger audience by being part of a Bollywood project and covering all of India.
