While there's no denying that Whitney Houston is the original Diva, one has to wonder if Mariah Carey has taken her shine in the years that Whitney has been out of the scene. Well, with both singers hard at work in the studio, it's only a matter of weeks before their albums go face to face.
Mariah's album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," was originally set to release on August 25, but the buzz is that it has recently been pushed back to September 15 because some of the songs haven't been completed yet! Looks like the butterfly princess has been having a tough kick-off to her album! Maybe controversy with Eminem isn't the best way to go to promote an album, Mimi.
While Mariah is pushing her release date back, looks like Whitney can't wait to unveil her latest work. Her album, "I Look to You," was originally set to release on September 1st, but will now be released on August 31, just weeks before Mariah's album. The album boasts to be the return of the idol and features the likes of Alicia Keys, Akon, and R. Kelly. Pretty impressive considering she was getting ready to retire from singing.
It's been a while since we've heard anything new from Whitney so does she still has what it takes? How well will her album do competing against Mariah's album that drops around the same time? Well all we can say is may the best diva win!
