Biti Reps the Women on the Bhangra Scene

There's no denying that the Bhangra circuit is male dominated. Yes we all enjoy listening to strong male vocals, but where are the sweet, emotional and fun-loving women on the scene? This was a big summer for Miss Pooja as she updated her style and released her solo album "Romantic Jatt." And now it looks like Bhangra singer Biti wants to follow in her footsteps and put out some music of her own!

Though you may not recognize her name, Biti has worked with a number of producers before and her vocals have taken tracks to the top of the charts! One of Biti's first songs was "Shad Haya Channa," which was also accompanied by a video. Later Biti was approached by the producer team of Jinx and they asked her to do the track "Gal Sun." "Gal Sun" was dubbed "The Song of 2006" by a local U.K. radio station. Jinx enjoyed working with Biti and called her back to do a song for their second album, "Jus Jinx." We can hear Biti's voice on the romantic number "Tera Mera Pyar." Her voice is very soft, sweet, and a delight to listen to. In fact her song "Aaj Nachna Veh," produced by Jags Klimax, has been played a number of times on the U.K. soap opera "EastEnders."

So what's next for this budding star? Biti is working on a collaboration with Sabrina on the song "Vey Vanjaariya," which is set for release on October 20 on iTunes. "Vey Vanjaariya" is not a loud dance song, but showcases both Biti and Sabrina's vocals well. The two female singers hit all their notes and relay all the right emotions.

Check out this teaser for "Vey Vanjaariya" and tell us what you think. Do you think Biti has what it takes to break into the male dominated Bhangra scene?
