Imran Khan kicked off his North Amercian tour this past weekend with a performance in Toronto alongside Canada’s own 747 Trio. Desi Hits.com sat down with this Bhangra hit maker to get the low-down on his tour, upcoming projects and even his ideal girl!
Though this may have been Imran Khan’s first time in Toronto, he told us that "I have come to America before. I performed at a university in Washington for a fan." That’s one lucky girl! While he’s in Canada, Imran will be making a number of stops across the country, performing in Calgary, Edmonton and more.
"I have no plans, but hope to see some sights and go out," Imran told us. Who knows when a lucky fan will catch him roaming the streets! Imran Khan is quite excited to meet his fans at this end of the world and will even engage in 'meet and greets' with fans at each gig.
Imran released his album this past summer and has been performing since. We know that he has a great fan base and one full of females at that. Imran’s next video "Bewafa" is due out later this year. We were curious about Imran Khan’s personal life and ready to ask him anything, so we asked who broke this pretty boy’s heart. A laughing Imran responded "I’ve had no girlfriend; no one has broke my heart. The song was inspired by people around me and all they have experienced."
So what kind of girl does Imran Khan want? Initially he humbly answered, "right now it is about my music and my career," but we weren’t satisfied with the answer! "Okay, I am looking for a good hearted girl, it is not about the looks." How sweet, with Imran’s good looks and heart of gold, we are sure he’ll find himself someone special, in due time of course.
Back to the music, what’s next for Imran Khan? Aside from his international tour, Imran told us, "I have completed five tracks on my next album." When we asked about titles for the songs or the album Imran told us he wasn’t sure yet, "I am looking for new producers with talent." After making hits with newcomer Eren-E, there is no saying what the next album will be like.
Then we got down to lyrics. "This album is more real and about life," Imran told us, adding "and the music is more R&B sounds."
With his tour in full swing and another album in the making, Imran Khan is taking his career one step at a time. His unique voice and powerful lyrics continue to mesmerize fans as they arrive at his performances in the hundreds!
