The Curtain Closes on Hard Kaur in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

By: Mufsin Mahbub

And the winner is...not going to be Hard Kaur. Even after her amazing performance last week, she got the boot at the elimination. At the semi-finals, Hard Kaur had to prove to the judges that she has what it takes to end up in the finale and win, but her votes weren't enough. This week, she had to perform two dance numbers.

There was a twist for the first performance. Only the celebrities had to dance, not their dance partners! And another thing, the choreographers have to act like props instead of dancers.

Hard Kaur dressed up like a traditional bride wearing a red sari and ghungroos on her feet while Savio had to act as a Greek-like statue. Hard Kaur was judged afterwards with Gauhar Khan, which turned out that Hard Kaur was better than Gauhar according to the judges. Hard Kaur received a total of 26 for her performance.

For her second dance, Hard Kaur and Savio dressed up with swirly outfits that looked like the clothing was glowing. It was an Afro-Jazz like performance that impressed the judges. Saroj Khan said that she loved the performance and all the judges said they loved her more and more with each performance. Juhi thought Hard Kaur danced better than Savio but acknowledged his composition. Hard Kaur got a total of 27 which was a bit higher than her first performance. Hard Kaur ended up in second behind Baichung in the leaderboard.

The shocking turn of events came when it was announced that Hard Kaur didn't get enough votes to get her into next week's finale. Now all that's left is Baichung, Karan Grover, and Gauhar Khan. Who do you think should win? Do you also think that Hard Kaur shouldn't have been eliminated? Drop your comments below!
