They've been perfecting and renovating their sound for a while, and now they're ready to make their long awaited debut. Amz 'n' B, a duo from London, bring an eclectic and new take on the Bhangra scene. Amz 'n' B are passionate about the music they make and produce. They come from an area of London where there aren't many prominent Asian producers. That being said, they are studio and classically trained and will start to make their mark on the Bhangra scene by gradually releasing singles throughout the year.
Five years ago the duo formed and set up D.G. Entertainment with DJ Haps. Their music taste spans a wide array of genres and includes artists like Linkin Park and Mohd Siddique. Due to their diversity in music and experience, Amz 'n' B have already performed at formidable clubs including London's Ministry of Sound.
The artists told Desi Hits "Our sound is always going to be about quality, regardless if you listen to it on car speakers, DJ speakers or any other type of speakers you will definitely tell the difference between our music and the rest of the industry's music."
Aside from quality the two are also determined to bring something new to the scene "We are also going to be bringing a different feel to Bhangra, not the usual Bhangra, you feel a different warmth to our music but at the same time the mainstream vibe will pass through!!" So do they have what it takes to live up to these promises? Here is a bit on their background.
So we've got Amz. He has a predominantly classical music education, with background in Tabla and Dhol. This shows through in the music with a uniquely Desi sound. Then there is B. He's been a DJ for a while, making production a natural transition for him. He's the beat maker who infuses the Amz 'n' B sound with a fresh, catchy vibe.
It looks as though the artist have big plans ahead, "For the future, we have hooked up with some serious artists in the Bhangra industry, and twisted their styles up a bit, so you will be hearing these singers doing something that they have never tried before. It will be a new slate for the scene!!"
