Another known fact is that he has been voted as the sexiest vegetarian in Asia in the poll conducted by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The results of this poll were announced by PETA Asia on their website and the battle for the top slot carried on for a month. The final results were announced last Wednesday. Shahid shares this honor with Hollywood actress Natalie Portman, who was awarded the sexiest vegetarian in the USA region.
Shahid Kapoor enjoys a huge fan base in India and across the globe. This vote only confirms the steady growth of his popularity across audiences worldwide.
"It feels great to be voted the Sexiest Vegetarian in Asia. I have always supported the cause of being a vegetarian and it's nice to be felicitated for something so close to my heart. Being voted as sexy is a matter of perception but being vegetarian is a lifestyle change and something that comes from a sense of responsibility. This poll win also goes to break the myth that fitness cannot be achieved by eating vegetarian food" says Shahid Kapoor on being called the sexiest vegetarian in Asia.
