Lady GaGa Saves the World One Sequin at a Time

She's saving the world "one sequin at a time" and lighting up your computer screen with part two of the three part Desi Hits! interview series with Lady GaGa. In part 1, we brought you a behind the scenes look at our exclusive interview with the pop star. Part 2 goes beyond her new found success as Arun and Lady GaGa discuss her early career, her fashion evolution and why she thinks she's old fashioned.

After learning how to play the piano by ear at age 4, all it took was 18 years and getting an "old fashioned" start by recording demos on cassette tapes to get to the mega star status she holds today. Beyond gaining success with her music she's also trying to make an impact with her unique style that she described in the interview.

Don't forget: she's not manufactured. As she describes it, her style is based around her love of shapes and colors, not trends. As we all know, she's been seen out in some of the funkiest outfits in the past year, including (but not limited to) leotards with no pants, latex skirts and no shirt, and dresses made out of metal. Her unique fashion sense is well known, and she clearly wants to be a trendsetter. The Princess of Pop sure got animated when Arun mentioned that he had been seeing the latex trend out in the clubs.

Her style evolution has been just one part of the creation of Lady GaGa. She has also made music that's enjoyed by listeners all over the globe. This not only includes her album The Fame, but also the songs she's written for other artists, early in her career. Lady GaGa mentioned that she honors the integrity of the song she writes when she's written something specifically for another artist. As she said, why would she need to use songs written for someone else when she has a fantastic album herself?

That's part 2, so make sure you check back in for the third and final part of the Lady GaGa interview series. In the meantime make sure you leave your comments below. We know you must have an opinion about the no-pants look that she was rocking for a while!
