Michael Jackson is now resting somewhere in the United States but we are not willing to let the mind blowing performing artist go just yet. Many would like to see the King one last time, rock his hips, thrust his feet in the air, stand on his toes and glide like he was truly on the moon. These wishes may very well be possible on the late stars birthday on August 29th for a tribute concert at the O2 arena in London. This was the very location Michael was scheduled to perform 50 concert dates, just two weeks before his shocking death.
After an emotional memorial service held in Los Angeles, millions of fans are seemingly looking for some kind of closure, which leaves one to wonder if a concert of this caliber will do the handy work. According to officials, a life-like hologram will appear on stage of the King of Pop with his dancers in the background. This may reveal some very controversial issues, as some are questioning if this is too soon after his death to somewhat attempt to recreate him for entertainment purposes.
The concert is expected to be sold out, with thousands scheduled to attend along with an impressive list of performers to grace the stage showing their tribute to the legend. Jackson's family and his kids will be attending the tribute concert and would assume a similar role as they did at the memorial, making a group appearance on stage.
According to Randy Philips, president of AEG who headed the planning for the "This Is It" tour, plans to do various mini gigs for the tribute concerts, showing all those who respected, loved and was influenced by the King of Pop.
Even though there will be no other that will be able to pull off the same exact performance with thriller moments or the original smooth criminal, a hologram is probably the closest we will get to ever seeing him move again.
Do you think this is a good idea to make a tribute concert for MJ? Will a hologram of MJ bring more people to come to the concert? Add your comments below.
