'Slumdog Millionaire' cutie Dev Patel is living the Hollywood dream, hanging with celebs and staring in M. Night Shamlyan's next film. Plus he's dating his hot former costar Freida Pinto! Well it seems all that Hollywood buzz isn't stopping South Indian director Samuthirakkani from trying to get him to star in the Hindi remake of Tamil film, 'Nadodigal.'
"We are hopeful of signing him (Dev) up for the lead role in the yet-to-be named Hindi remake of 'Nadodigal'. The Telugu remake will go on the floors next month with Ravi Teja in the lead role and we will start shooting the Kannada remake in December with Puneet in the lead," Samuthirakkani was quoted as saying.
All three versions will be directed by Samuthirakkani. The film is about the friendship between three young people and will also star three actresses. You may wonder why they are making three version of the film, well apparently the Tamil version which released last month was a huge success and is still running to packed theatres. Plus Samuthirakkani says the film which cost 7.4 crore rupees to make is expected to gross more than 30 crore rupees in 100 days.
Even with all that, Samuthirakkani hasn't yet been able to rope in Dev for the film as yet. For now we'll just have to wait and see. So we want to know if you guys think Dev will sign onto star in the film. If so will you watch it? Drop us a comment with your thoughts!
