Looks like we just can't seem to get enough of Michael Jackson! Well, in case you didn't know, before his tragic death, Jackson was getting ready for his "This is It" comeback tour. Since his death about a month ago, studios such as Paramount, Universal, Sony, and 20th Century Fox have been attempting to get the distribution rights of rehearsal footage from the concert series.
Rumor has it that Sony has bid $50 million -- the largest bid, so far! The various studios received footage from the rehearsals to watch earlier last week and have been bidding ever since. Buzz is that Sony is most likely to win because Sony Music is the distributor of Jackson's music and is also in a partnership with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, a music publishing company that is co-owned by The Michael Jackson Family Trust and Sony.
We're sure millions of fans who were planning on attending the concert and even those who weren't are eagerly awaiting this footage. We hope to see it soon! Let us know your thoughts about this footage by dropping a comment below
