The fashion star hunt will be conducted in a phased manner at select Big Bazaar outlets. That this event is popular can be gauged by the fact that in less than 5 days over 10,000 people have registered to become the face of this campaign.
The nationwide contest is for everyone to showcase their sense of Fashion and be a Star. The winners will be The Face of Fashion@Big Bazaar along with Dhoni & Asin for the year and also win a year of Fashion Shopping @ Big Bazaar. Their pictures will be splashed in promotional material in and outside Big Bazaar for a year. One Male and One Female grand finale winner will be selected to be part of this humongous opportunity and walk the red carpet.
Big Bazaar, India's largest hypermarket chain, had earlier in the year unveiled the new 'Fashion@Big Bazaar Collection' in a glittering fashion show, at the hands of Bollywood's latest heart throb and sensation - Asin. The Fashion@Big Bazaar collection comprises of apparel and accessories for all occasions, ranging from daily wear, special occasion wear, casual wear, college wear and office wear.
Asin, winner of the Filmfare best debut (female), and MS Dhoni, youth icon and captain of the Indian cricket team, are the brand ambassadors for Fashion@Big Bazaar.

The ‘India Ka Fashion Star’ is an initiative to kindle the fashion embracing person within every one. This contest will allow each one the freedom to create their own fashion statement and contest to showcase the same. Registrations are open across select Big Bazaar stores around the country from 11th July-26th July. Zoom TV, which has an eye on fashion, will screen the entries and select participants for a regional final and the winners of the regional final will compete at a grand finale in Mumbai on 7th Aug.

The contestants will go through a preliminary selection round at their region and 25 short listed candidates will compete live at the Regional final.
Winners of the regional final will compete in the grand finale in August.
