What Worked:
"Main Aurr Mrs Khanna" was a straightforward and concise film. From love at first sight, to marriage, and then the issues that arise, "Main Aurr Mrs Khanna" never felt dragged out and slow. The characters Akash and Arsh had great chemistry and added a great comedic line to the movie.
As for Kareena, she was impressive as she did not over or under act. It's great seeing her at this point in her career with a good amount of experience. Sohail's lighthearted attitude and childlike qualities worked great in his role as he is falling for Mrs Khanna.
What Didn't:
Whether Salman has not aged gracefully or the director has chosen to take one to many close ups, Kareena and Salman had no chemistry. It was awkward seeing them on screen making this love story not quite believable. Then when it came time for a heartfelt moving monet or the climax, the film did not peak as Bollywood movies tend to.
The Soundtrack:
Sajid-Wajid have created a soundtrack perfect for the film, in fact the music portrayed more emotion than our on screen couple. "Don't Say Alvida" made the love story true and "Rabba" made us feel some pain. As for the item number "Happening," it came at the right time and Preity Zinta did look cute.
Slated or Rated:
"Main Aurr Mrs Khanna" is a traditional Bollywood story with a love triangle at the center of it all. Kareena has matured quite well now giving us a great performance. The movie is not one that will hit our favorites list and it's not one we cannot stand. It was completely average with a predictable story, expected dance sequences, and edited to be concise and not a grad. If you don't catch this one you will not be missing out on something entirely new.
