Amitabh Bachchan at International Indian Film Academy Press Meet

The International Indian Film Academy press meet took place this past weekend. This was definitely a big weekend for the International Indian Film Academy as it was voting weekend. This is the time of year when various actors, directors, and producers come together to begin to cast their votes. These votes will be the deciding factors for main award nominations for the ceremony. As always the brand ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan was the first to cast a vote and also inaugurated the online voting system this past weekend.

The Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was looking stylish in a pinstripe suit jacket over white pants and sunglasses. He was cool, calm, and ever gracious at the event. Producer & IIFA Advisory Board member Manmohan Shetty said, "IIFA has grown into an event of repute over the last nine years. This year, being the tenth year of IIFA, the celebrations will be bigger at the IIFA Voting Weekend, which are the only Awards where the entire film Industry comes to vote. The Technical Award winners and the Popular Award nominations are derived from this voting weekend."

There were definitely many directors, films and actors deserving awards this year, so it will be exciting to see the list that the International Indian Film Academy arrives to for nominees. We have a couple of pictures to show you from the posh event that took place over the weekend. Take a look at Amitabh Bachchan's outfit and tell us what you think. We also want to ask our readers as they think back to last year. Who do you think is deserving of a nomination from the International Indian Film Academy? Who do you hope to see as a winner this year? Give us your opinions and your thoughts on the event and who you see being nominated.
