Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan to Star in 'Race 2'

February 10 2009 22:05 PST

That's right! There's another film starring real life couple, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan! With the success of last year's film, 'Race' which featured Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna, it seems like the producers, the directors, Abaas Mustan and actors Saif and Anil all want to create a sequel (something Bollywood's been doing more and more of as late). It features some of the old cast members, but alas some have been given the pink slip!

Naturally, Katrina and Akshaye won't be returning as they were both killed at the end of the film (sorry to burst your bubble if you haven't seen it!). The biggest surprise though is the fact that Bipasha Basu who was a prominent part of the first film, as Saif's love interest, won't be returning. Instead she's been replaced by Saif's real life lady love, Kareena Kaporr. Hmm... sounds like Saif did some rallying for Kareena! Saif believes naturally, that he's thrilled by the idea of working with Kareena in the film, saying it would be, "slicker, sexier, faster and more thrilling." So what are you trying to say Saif, Bipasha's not hot? Hmmm??? Jokes aside, do you guys think the movie would be hotter with Kareena or Bipasha?

Another thing to note is that this marks yet another film starring the couple, other films include, 'Roadside Romeo,' 'Omkara,' and 'Tashan.' They are also busy shooting a film together for director Rensil D'Silva based on terrorism. So we want to know what you guys think. Is this overkill on the part of the couple? They're constantly in the limelight, subject to media scrutiny and know they're starring in a number of films together. Is this too much Saifeena in your face? Drop us a comment with your thoughts!
