Michael Jackson's already questionable health is getting worse. Jackson is now suffering from an MRSA skin infection that has now spread throughout his body. The bug is allegedly a byproduct of the cosmetic surgery Jackson has had over the years, especially on his nose. This infection could eat away at his skin. Yikes!
A source close to the situation is saying Jackson is being worked on aggressively by the doctors. "There's a chance it could turn into a flesh-eating disorder where it begins to kill off his skin so he's being very carefully monitored," the source said. Jackson is currently being treated at a Beverly Hills clinic.
The pictures that have surfaced recently show Michael Jackson with doctor's mask on and all, looking very sick, pale, and disheveled. His hand looks like one of those phones that are clear so you can see the inner wires and chips. It's just not a pretty sight at all.
For those that are unaware, MRSA stands for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, a bacterium that does not react well, if at all, to conventional medication and antibiotics. In inflames the skin, infects it, and makes it very swollen. Michael Jackson's hand is as big as a catcher's mitt. The MRSA infection could continue to send the 50 year old legend to the hospital as reconstructive surgery could become an option.
Dr. Anthony Youn, a "surgeon for the stars," says this is a matter that is not to be taken lightly. "In some worse cases surgeons will have to remove the infected tissue if it dies - leaving the patient needing major reconstructive surgery. It is particularly worrying if it is on the face." Jackson's face also had a swollen cheek. Jackson claims he suffered from a skin condition called vitiligo a disease that causes a loss of pigment that of which is clearly evident with Michael Jackson. He announced this during the now infamous interview with Martin Bashir during his suspicion of child molestation.
At least they're working on this condition and hoping to heal this early before things get out of hand. Hopefully Michael Jackson makes it through this ordeal and regains his health.
